“Overall a lovely lodge with gorgeous hot tub. However, check out at 9am is really too early. We had a baby, 2 dogs, and all the packing of the car to do for 9am which is far too early. They could afford to change checkout to 10am for no major inconvenience to themselves. We asked for later checkout to be told it was an extra £35 for 1lam and £55 for 1pm checkout, which is ridiculous. To check out 2 hours later is more than 15% of the cost that we paid for the whole trip. I also enquired about borrowing a highchair for the 5 day trip and was told it would cost £15. This again, seems ridiculous. If you went to a restaurant they wouldn't charge for the hire of a highchair, just doesn't seem right to make extra money from the hire of a chair. There were also a few dead flies and spiders on the walls/ inside the cupboards of the lodge, which although was no real issue for us I imagine it would be for others. Overall we enjoyed our stay but the few details mentioned above did make me irritated before we had even arrived. (Stayed in Woodland Lodge 1)”

“Stayed here Monday - Friday with my girlfriend and our dog. First off we read the reviews on here the Friday before coming and saw about some reviews not getting the deposit back so was a little concerned. We got the deposit back the Monday after staying, most of the reviewers who say they didn’t get it back are in large groups so no doubt probably did damage something. Very nice cabins especially for the price, and was nice and clean when we arrived. Hot tub water was checked by a guy working on the site daily. All staff were nice and helpful. Lots of nice places to go for walks. Recommend Luds church for a walk while you’re staying.”
